The weather getting warmer is not the only thing to be excited about in March! With new resources added to our High School Counselor webpage and our Experience Otterbein week beginning at the end of the month, the Office of Admission has been hard at work to provide various ways to engage with us.

Experience Otterbein Week: March 27-April 1

The Office of Admission encourages all admitted students to register for Experience Otterbein Week and learn more about their life as a future cardinal!

March 27: Meet Your Academic Department

Don’t miss the opportunity to meet with your academic department and hear from future classmates and professors. You’ll learn about special opportunities in your program, professional and academic organizations, as well as internships and the experiences. This session is a fantastic way to start to make the connections and friendships that will make Otterbein feel like your new home.

March 28: Honoring the Otterbein Multicultural Experience (HOME)

An important part of your college decision is being able to see yourself at home. This is your chance to experience what it’s really like from current students at Otterbein. You are invited to join us for Honoring the Otterbein Multicultural Experience (HOME) Virtual Edition. HOME will feature alumni speakers and a student panel. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers, too.

Otterbein's 8th Annual Summer Music Experience

Do you have students who have ever wondered what it would be like to be a part of a college music program? Otterbein's Summer Music Experience will take place June 14-18th, 2021 on our campus, and provide the opportunity for students to surround themselves with peers who share their passion and energy for music. They will have the opportunity to develop new insights as a musician and a performer, challenge themselves in a week of intensive, real-world music study, and build their confidence through collaboration with other serious musicians.

The Summer Music Experience will take place June 14-18th, 2021 on our campus.

International Spotlight:
Scholarships

Talent & Departmental ($500-$4000): Otterbein recognizes individual talents, experiences and passions through special interest awards in art, dance, music, theatre, community service, student leadership, and other talents. These awards are given on the basis of demonstrated involvement as determined by holistic review of the application.

Merit-based ($12,000-$15,000): Students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships at the time of application. International students studying in the U.S. for three or more years of high school or 30 semester hours of college will be reviewed for merit scholarships using the criteria for domestic students ($8,000-$16,000).

Ammons-Thomas ($2000-$5000): Multicultural students who exhibit both strong scholarship and leadership could qualify for this additional scholarship. International students studying in the U.S. for three or more years of high school can be considered for Ammons-Thomas.
